2. When was the League First established ?
The Kent Golf Super Seniors League was established in 2003 by four of the clubs comprising Group 3 of the KGVL 60s League (formerly SKGV), at the behest of players who were becoming excluded from their club 60s team but who still relished the competitiveness and companionship they had enjoyed from years of playing in the KGVL
3. How many Clubs are represented ?
There are currently 40 Golf Clubs represented across the County of Kent in 2022 ,playing in seven separate Groups but this figure is expected too increase.

5. What age do you have to be to play in the league ?
The minimum age to represent your club in this league is 70.
6. is there a Handicap restriction ?
Yes in Group A it is 21 of the Handicap Index in Groups B, C , E and F it is 24 of the Handiap Index Group G is 20.5 of the Handicap Index and Group D is 24 of the Course Handicap but players with higher handicaps may play but are restricted to the Groups Max.
7. How are match results notified ?
Match results are immediately notified to the Group Organiser who creates and circulates a group league table generally once a month. The League Organiser then collates the figures for all six groups and passes on the data for inclusion on this website
8. What format are the matches played to ?
Four Ball Better Ball Matchplay - 9/10 of difference in handicap allowance from the lowest of the four players
9. How is the League administered?
Each group appoints its Organiser and each club its Representative (usually its team captain). Each group holds an annual meeting when its club representatives discuss current topics and raise issues for debate at a meeting of group organisers held in January each year.
10. What do Group Organisers do?
Each Group Organisers ensures that his group's fixture lists are agreed ahead of each year, receives each match result for incorporation in a running league table and relays this his club representatives and to the League Organiser at the end of each month. He arranges for a club to host any annual jamboree and an annual club representatives meeting, and represents the group at the annual group organisers' meeting. He acts as a conduit to channel communications between the Group Organiser and his group clubs.
11. How are Grand Finals organised?
Each group, and each club within a group, takes it in turns to host the annual play-off between group winners. The designated group organiser nominates the host club and organises the arrangements and costs with host club and with the League Organiser who then communicates with the winning clubs.
